Editorial Policies

Biomaterials Translational fully adheres to the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and other ethical standards for publication and research. Articles that are speculated of violating these guidelines will be investigated and, if verified, withdrawn or retracted.

All articles published in the journal are peer-reviewed. Please note that the journal’s Editorial Team (the manuscript handling editors) is not involved in any editorial decision-making for submissions received; instead, every editorial decision is made by an assigned Academic Editor, who is typically chosen from the journal’s Editorial Board (i.e., the Editors-in-Chief and expertise-relevant members of the Editorial Board). Editorial decision is made based on the overall manuscript quality and a minimum of two reports received from reviewers (who are senior experts in the relevant field with no conflict of interest with the authors).

The primary goal of the journal is to democratize access to scientific and research findings in this field as wide and immediate as possible, and this goal informs every facet of our operations.
