Special Issue Information

This Special Issue (SI) focuses on the design and application of smart (bio)polymeric materials, particularly those integrated with nanorobotics and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven strategies, to address biomedical and environmental challenges. The convergence of responsive polymers, nanotechnology, and computational intelligence is paving the way for multifunctional, adaptive systems with applications in drug delivery, diagnostics, tissue engineering, biosensing, and environmental remediation. This SI welcomes interdisciplinary contributions from materials science, biotechnology, nanorobotics, and AI to showcase cutting-edge developments at the intersection of these fields.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
• Stimuli-responsive polymers
• Polymeric nanobots for biomedical or environmental use
• Smart polymer-based drug delivery systems
• AI/machine learning (ML)-guided design of polymeric materials
